From Stage 3 to Centre Stage: Why I Wrote This Book and Why You Might Need It!

If you had told me years ago that I’d one day be doing stand-up comedy and inspiring others on stage... I would’ve laughed, then cried, and probably crawled back under the covers.

Because 10 years ago, I wasn’t on a stage.I was in a hospital bed.

Hooked up to IVs, facing Stage 3 brain cancer, unsure if I’d even wake up tomorrow.

Everything changed with those three words: “You have cancer.”

And while the surgery, chemo, and fear were all part of the journey...So was something else: the fight to find meaning after survival.

The Healing Power of Sharing

When the treatment ended, the real work began.

I wasn’t just healing physically, I was rebuilding emotionally.

And I found that the most healing thing I could do...Was talk about it.

I shared my story on podcasts.

On stages.

Through awkward, shaky open mic nights where I turned pain into punchlines.

And every time I did, something incredible happened:

People listened.

People laughed.

People leaned in.

And often... they shared their stories back.

Why I Wrote This Book

From Stage 3 to Centre Stage isn’t just my story.

It’s a roadmap.

It’s for the person who survived something massive—and now asks, “What do I do with this?”

It’s for the one who feels a story burning in their chest but doesn’t feel “ready.”

It’s for the cancer survivor, the trauma warrior, the quiet soul who wants to speak but doesn’t know where to start.

This book will walk you through:

  • Finding your voice (even if you’ve been silenced by fear)

  • Turning trauma into power (and maybe even humour)

  • Building the confidence to share your truth

  • Using your story to heal yourself and inspire others

This Is Bigger Than a Book

This is a movement.

And if you’ve ever survived something that shook your soul this movement is for you.

I believe every survivor deserves a mic.

A platform.

A path to turn their pain into something powerful.
